Hello there.

Born and brought up in Aligarh, India, I graduated with a master of science in mechanical engineering at Johns Hopkins University where I specialized in fluid dynamics and computational science. Following that I have been pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where I work on modeling cardiac arrhythmias.

Complex systems in nature fascinate me. As you can see I am standing at the edge of the gigantic Bay of Bengal. The waves behind me gurgle and froth and eat each other up, rubbing themselves to death as they reach the sandy shore while I wonder how all of that is happening.

I like to model complex systems so we can make sense of a chaotic world around us. I also love computers. I adore the biggest of them and the smallest of them and the ones in between. These powerful miracles of modern engineering gobble up a bunch of numbers, some ingenious math and spit out predictions of real world physical phenomenon. Beautiful, it all seems to me.

I also enjoy writing stories, taking pictures and appreciating art.
